About this site

This is a place to store my various and varied creations. I have a tendency to move from one personal project to another without completing, but rather just over engineering my idea until the original project is without my ability or capacity to complete. It is my hope that by creating a container for my projects - whatever form they take, in whatever state they are in - that I will carry out my intentions to their completion. And perhaps even start a few more projects along the way. In a way this site is a project which I am in the process of completing.

I used to have a site, it was full of categories and sections and dividers and an array of options that restricted my ability to add anything to it. Initially I did this - created empty sections of my site - in order to spur on further creation and population of those sections. But it didn't feel right for me, and in early 2002 my old site went offline for a reskin. 5 years (and many redesigns) later I finished my task, learned a new programming language, and created a site which, for me, is flexible and easy to update. This is a repository for my creative output. And while I have plans for the site itself - mostly, it is just a container. My concept was "no categories, no design" and for the most part, I have stayed true to that.

Herein you will find images, ideas, poems, essays, animations, scraps, games, flotsam and jetsam, photos, code snippets, and silly projects that take my fancy.

My name is Shaun Moriarty. I like to think I can design but I don't call myself a designer. I try to program but real programmers would make fun of me if I suggested I could program.
